Twice in my life I've drilled a hole in one of my fingernails... I think in fact it could have been the same one. Here's the explanation;


I slammed a door on the tip of my finger, or similar, and so it'd bleed under the nail, and everyone would say it'd cause the nail to fall off. But since that'd be really painful, I took a small drill bit and just twisted it to hand-drill a tiny hole and let the blood come out. The nail felt alot better already, it wasn't gonna fall off, but the trade off was that I had a seeping hole in my fingernail... no scab can grow over that smooth surface, and so it seriously just ooooooooozed for two weeks at least. I'd put bandages on it but they'd just get saturated.
