Not for games I can download for....free. Actually, not for free.
Electricty... 0.003Mhz, .01 cents.
divided over several hundred games, I think I get a better value with the download.
Hoestly, arent all the old games going to stop working in the next few years anyway as their magnetic strips begin to demagnetize? |

Huh? Magnetic strips? No magnetic strips here. Most of the problems you'd have are from games with battery saves, if the battery dies. And even then, most of them simply lose the ability to save. I think the original LoZ had problems if the battery died, but I can't remember. |

I'd heard that the battery dies with Genny carts but I still play and save games on mine with no problem. Maybe I should check with my NES carts but I have all of those games on my PS2 and PC so I never bother.
My only problem has been the battery dying in my Saturn and Dreamcast so I had to replace those.
And I won't even mention the damn VMUs, those things go thru batteries like water. |

NES games are all rom chips so no worries on demagnitization.
And from what I've heard NoA offers a program to replace the pins and batteries on NES carts for a fee. |

For the battery thing. Yeah they run out and you lose the ability to save. However, My Phantasy Star I cart lost that ability, and I just opened it up and replaced the battery.  |
