Kei:
Rebels are excellent starter bikes. Very very reliable and the resale values are virtually the same price you bought it for. Cheap price, cheap insurance. The only kicker is that the engine isn't that powerful, but that's a good thing for a starter bike because you don't want a 1000 cc engine when you're just starting out. I would say get the Rebel, learn to ride and feel comfortable on a bike, then sell the rebel and figure out what kind of bike you want to end up riding. Never ever start out riding the really powerful pretty bike because your first year you will always drop your bike, and you don't want to mess up the pretty chrome on your nice bike when you're still getting accustomed. |

Yeah that's why I'm starting out with the rebel two friends of mine are getting crotch rockets. I said "If you can handle it.." lol but yeah the rebel is a good one for me now just the journey for money. Won't take too long hopefully. I'm just wanting something so I can get around basicly. my house is boring and i can't rely on my friends to get me all the time once i get my bike I won't be around my house much. |

Just a few questions I have for those who know more about riding than me.
I'm trying to find a bike with handle gears. I know there are some out there, but any ideas where to look? |

Honestly shifting gears with your feet isn't too hard, it's really natural once you get used to it. If you're afraid of that, don't be. If you're still set on handle gears I would say just check out a dealer and ask them. Most guys who work at cycle shops (at least the Honda ones I've been to) are fairly cool and helpful.
Ultimately you're going to end up at a dealer and what better way to figure out what works for you best then to see them in person. |

Yeah that's true I've trying to get in contact with the people down the street with me about their honda, It's just a body right now needs an engine and an battery but I think I i can get it from them, i can work on the bike that way I'll get the experience of working on a bike, and havethe bike as well.
I'm currently reading through the manual for riding. I got to find a good time as to when to go for my riding courses. |

Ok I found the kind of bike I want to end with. Once I get accustomed to riding. What do you think of this?
Kawasaki 750RS Z2
This is the bike I want to end up with after I get used to rising on my starter bike. I odn't know how much these babies run for these days but it's worth saving up for. ^_^ |
