Rune, I just created an archer as me third character (Rosencrantz), and currently he's at 20-ish in base level. What I'm finding that works really well is to spend your job levels upgrading your range and accuracy. Then when you have enough range to cliff snipe, find all the opportunities you can to beat down some enemies without letting them hit you. Just make absolute sure not to accidently steal other peoples' kills <^^>

Once you're a bit higher and have a nice range and Agi, max out Double Strafe and try taking on some higher enemies head on. Double Strafe is an incredibly powerful skill that can dish out up to over 1000 damage at higher levels. Use your range against an enemy.

OMG that game ownz!!! I want it now T_T I'm in need of a replacement form PSO ever since ... I stoped playing PSO more then 6 months ago. But I ahve a few ELEMENTAL BASIC QUESTIONS about the game ... is it free to play online? can I play offline? is the beta free? Where can I get it? Is it a big game?(I'm on a dial-up T_T) Will it lag with a dial-up?

An answer to ze questions <^^>

1) Nope, you pay a small fee.
2) It's a massively multiplayer online game, which means it's vastly different from PSO and only online.
3) The alpha and first two betas were free, but this closed beta cost 10$ for three months. It goes until the end of February.
4) You can get it at http://www.ragnarokonline.com/ or the sites I listed above.
5) It's a 600MB download, but
6) once you have it, you won't get too much lag.

Thx! I still have one lil question tho ... when will the full version be available? Are there any (official or non-official) release dates?

Chibs, ya just signed up for the next RO closed beta, congrats <^^>

Your account'll be valid (i.e. ready to use) on February 21st when the 2nd beta emerges. The current closed beta ends on the 18th.

And anyone else who hasn't yet, you can sign up now! It's only 10 bucks, and it'll get ya to play RO Episode 1.5 (new dungeons and the like) for around 5 or so weeks <^^> After that, it'll prolly be 10 bucks a month for the retail, or a 3rd beta which will be Episode 2 which includes a Pet system, and hopefully new 2nd classes Bounce
