ROFL ... man I remember you (shino) talking about how awsome the game was and how fast and great everything is.

I quit the game back in the first part of December when I realized EQ was begging me to play. There was nothing for me in FF or SWG for that matter so ... back to EQ.

It is awesome and I like it. I guess I'm just frustrated with the people on there that aren't willing to help out another person in something that I think wouldn't be a big deal.

I'll go back to it. I'm just taking a break right now until I beat NFS Underground

AYE ... the fortune cookie eyed mindless monk lives again.

I have been playing EQ for 2 years now and have put in almost 200+ total playing days (yes days) into just one of my characters. I left FF mainly for the lack of total content there really was nothing to do but kill or be killed trying to finish mindless quests with an extreamly low drop rate. I was a lone and left many friends back in EQ curious as to where I went. Sooooo you know the rest.

FF IS a good game. Graphics are way better then most (all) MMORPG's. Controls for keyboard could use some work and a few more expantions may make me go back to the game but till then It will remain selved in my office.

btw ... am I the only moron on these boards that plays EQ?

There's no doubt yer jaded for EQ. You've played it for about twice as long as I've played FFXI. Let me just be theh one to say you are horribly mistaken when you think there's not much there. There is certainly tons of things to do, and S-E has been constantly giving us more over the course of the game's life. Someone that has only reached level 10, 20, 30, 40 won't know everything the game has to offer, just like Everquest I'm sure. As an example lemme lay out some of the things you can do between the major level spots.

Level 1-10: Missions 1, 2 and 3.
Level 10-20: Missions 4, 5. Subjob quest. Chocobo quest.
Level 20-30: Missions 6, 7, possibly 8. Advanced job quests.
Level 30-40: Missions 9, 10. Your job's AF1 quest.
Level 40-50: Mission 11, Your job's AF2 quest.
Level 50-60: AF key and coffer hunts, level cap break 1 (50), break 2 (55), break 3 (60), Mission 12, Your job's AF3 quest, Zilart Mission 1, 2 and 3.
Level 60-75: Mission 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20. Zilart Mission 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. Break 4 (65), Break 5 (70), Level 250 Weapon Skill quests.

So you can see, while leveling begins to come to a standstill at 50+, there begin to be much more options on what to do. Once you get beyond level 60 and have full AF, then the storyline really begins to flourish. The main storyline from M12 carries over into the Zilart missions 1-12, but there is also story in your home nation that continues from 13-20, each mission another chapter. Alongside all of this could also be various quests in every nation and city of varying degrees of difficulty and rewards. You could choose to take up a craft and become a master at what you do, contributing equipment, items, meals to the community. Anyways I've rambled enough. I just wanted to point out that FFXI may be decieving in its quantity, but I assure you there is a lot to be played, even for me who's been playing almost a year.

I think I am out soon too. I can't seem to find time to play, and when I do, I find it hard to meet people to group with...mainly because a lot of them around my levels are just....annoying...and stupid. Very stupid. Plus I do not have the will I had once before.

Not fully sure if I will be leaving for good, but I really haven't had too many good experiences with the game lately. Shame too...I haven't gotten too far in it at all...and I wanted to be a Dark Knight.

Well... it is done... I have canceled FFXI Bawl

I kept hoping I would go back to it, and I never did. So I had to just kill it. As well as Galaxies. I think I'm just not on that does the MMORPG.

I need to stick to things like PSO for now.

I decided to stay on and added Sakura and Kob to my account. I figured they'd get gameplay when they come over. So it should be worth it. Plus I just can't bring myself to can Doot. ~sigh~
