Originals? Ya mean the EGA one as opposed to the claymation VGA stuff that came later? |

The first Quest for Glory games where you type in the commands, in the same format as King's Quest and Space Quest and Police Quest and Quest for Camelot(noticing a pattern?). Sierra remade them to be more mouse-based, but that just fuxed the combat system all to hell. |

Some of it, yes. I was okay with the new combat system in the remake, but I worked my way around the text-driven interface quite well, thanks... I finished off the Space Quests and Quest for Camelot that were text-based with no ill effects. Sometimes, though, you had to know the right word or syntax for what you wanted to do or it would never work. |

True, Silv, but they were easy to guess.
And yes, Shino, those are the ones I mean. I've got up through three on my computer, but only two is in the original format. |

Well, I always had fun with a game called "Earthrise" because of the things you had to do was shoot a door with a laser. The problem was, if you didn't get your syntax right, the guy would try to shoot the highly reflective glass and end up killing himself. It took my family a while to guess the right construction, and even now, I think it would take me a couple tries to get it right again...
...the Sierra games were better. Especially the fun and creative ways to do yourself in. |

Hero's Quest? Wasn't that a kick ass board game from the 80's?? Erm, Dance Dance Revolution, Suikoden, and later this year, when SO:Til the End of Time is released (the 3rd one) that will be my fav as well.
