Yeah...I need to get a better DDR pad too. But I don't quite make enough money to go around paying the 400 dollars it'd take for me to get two metal ones-- and I've got carpeting too, so it'd probably be best if I did that.
As it is I'm just having to make do. Which is probably why I haven't pulled out my DDR pad in a while. Played at a friend's house on Sunday, though. ^____^ *such a loser, can only barely do Light mode stuff* |

I don't even have the game ;_;
Fortunately, Perimiter has me covered. Metal red octane pads keep me going.
However, I could have saved you time with the construction I use at my brother's place when I'm up there. He's got flat pads as well. What you do is put one weight on each corner. I use actual weights, just five pound discs, and it keeps it still. Even on carpet!
It's my dream to have two arcade pads by the time I'm in college. Around $450 for a new set of two. Donations are thx |

I've been using the hell outta mine. To the point where all the light mode stuff is starting to get boring so I'm scooting over to standard. I don't have anything memorized yet but I'd be very curious as to see what actual dance moves coincide with some of the button placements. Maybe I need to invite Suna-chan over to show me. ^_^ |

I played for an hour today before work. Man I love it.
I played non-stop light the whole time. Opened up 6 of the new options on my first hour of playing.
