Oh yeah..It was the key from a Spam or Canned Ham container...It was beautiful.
Only problem other than the goggle thing was a lack of nudity...Not a soft-core sex scene..Those are pointless. You need more boobies and chick butts in movies...Everyone should remember that if they ever become a director. |

I particuarly liked the goggles, but two things incidental thigns, reall ticked me off.
1, Said musicless scene. How, gay.
2, The preview where he says "Are you afraid of the dark" was a tousand times cooler in the preview than in th movie.
Other than those little pansy ass comments, I liked everything else about it. Not having read the book, it all looked good to me. The Main bad guy looked stupid though. Too much football chin, not enough evil chin. I could picture this guy as balrog, not M. Bison, you know? |

Bite me Az! I said I liked the movie. And it wasn't that Vin didn't show emotion it was the fact that EVERY line sounded like he was trying to deliver a slogan to a room of corporate yahoos so they could isolate each and every one of them for promos and print them on a poster/merchandise. EVERY line.
I liked this movie, enough to where I'd watch it again. I agree with the soundless scene (aside from music) I even made a joke that they had to cut budgets in the sound effect department. Best part was the cup of tea scene (key included). |

Yesterday I found out that Doot didn't see Pitch Black.
Neither has Toolman and I went to see it with him.
So we will have to have a viewing.
And the way Vin talks, that's the way Riddick's character is. He's the same as Pitch Black, so it's not his fault that the people that wrote up his character sucked.
The only line he had that really annoyed me was when they were in the mountians and he yelled...
"LET'S...........KEEP............MOVING"
Yeah that was stupid. |

I saw Pitch Black a while ago, and I thought that this was much better, just because they did more with it. The plot in Pitch Black was hokey, in my opinion. But nonetheless, I thought it was still a cool movie, so I figured that Chronicles of Riddick deserved a viewing. Overall, I was expecting more out of the movie by the way that they were hyping it, but I wasn't disappointed by the way it was. It was supposed to be a cool sci-fi/action flick, and I think that it accomplished its goal pretty well.
And that's my $0.02

I think it is.
I'm not sure if I will be running out to buy the DVD (probably not since Az will probably do it first) but it's worth a viewing.
Plus, can't you get student tickets?
If not, just go to one of the Kiosks they have and get Senior tickets... I do it all the time, they don't check and even if they do just say "Oops I must have hit the wrong button" |
