Whether you like it or not will pretty much be up to you, but I highly recommend at least playing it for a little while. Honestly, it's not groundbreaking at all, simply a melding and refining of techniques from Dynasty Warriors and Panzer Dragoon, but good lord is it addictive, and the story is very well done, although twisted enough to have come from master King. |

I'll go with the games that I've had the most fun with on each console, not which one gets my best critical acclaim per-se.
PS2: Dark Cloud 2. I never finished this game, but man was it fun. If I owned this game/system, then I surely would have it beaten at least 1.5 times by now.
Kingdom hearts was fun too (one of the few squaresoft games I've beaten besides SMB RPG on SNES -- wait, ok, actually I never did beat that one either, but came very close) but the fun only lasted for about 25 hours... wheras I've got well over twice that many racked up on DC2... and I'm only on the 5th chapter out of 7 or 8 I think.
GC: Pikmin. This game was a one of a kind utter thrill. Just way too short.

I'm changing my gamecube answer to Tales of Symphonia. A) I've been a Tales of... fan since I was a kid and my friend grabbed the import of Phantasia. B) The game is really well done IMO. Good graphics (cell shaded for anyone who dismisses that immediately). Excellent storyline. I love everything about this game. Therin can vouch for me on my horrible game/ADD issue, I can't stay on a game at all. I think I've only truly beat one game in my entire life, my memory card is full of half-beaten games. But ToS I play for hours on end and I truly believe I'm going to beat it. In fact, going to play it right now. |
