I just finished watching the movie I had read the original graphic novel and well I was a little disappointed. The movie was still really good and the ending has me thinking. Africa will never let him die? |

WOWZERS!!!!! I just got home from seeing it with my mom, dad, and Rev (my brother). The movie was sooooo good. Nemo was VERY cool. But I liked the woman best. There's just something cool about a vampire! Definitley worth seeing! |

While I enjoyed this movie intensely I was unhappy with the release of the climax. It was a bit on the "eh" side, but overall this was good entertainment.
THe cast was awesome, and the story was great. Aside from the confused moviewatchers who don't know what a book is and have never heard of HALF the characters in the movie. I felt it had to cater to the audiences' lack of knowledge and not full steam ahead in the plot and story.
I feel they should come out with another version of this movie. For those of us who HAVE read a book or two and know who the literary characters are so they don't have to make a 3 sentence discertation for each character as introduced to enlighten us, for we already know.
Also, anybody else notice that this year seems to be the year of the horse in movies? I swear, when going to see LXG and Pirates this weekend all I saw were previews for Hidalgo, Seabiscuit, and Open Range. Also it seems there is a lot of recycling of witty lines.
In Pirates and in LXG "We're going to be at this all day" (When Sparrow and Barbossa are fighting in the treasure trove)(when Mina and Dorian are fighting in Mongolia)
In The Order (new Heath Ledger film) and Open Range (new Kevin Costner film) "There are things that can happen to a man worse than death"
Same writers? Maybe they need new material. Who knows. I just find it funny that in the last one BOTH of the movies added it to their trailers. If, by any luck, it'll be like most movies when they trailer a part of the movie and it never shows in the actual film. Say for instance when they say "It's a league of extraordinary gentelmen" and Mina Harker says "and women" NOT in the movie.
Oh well, I've gone on too long. |
