First I'm not trying to defend the guy, he's obviously an ass. Well he probably just doens't like them b/c he is afraid of the unknown.

All he needs is to meet a black person that leads a good lifestyle and he will realize that he is generalizing black to be like that 10% or whatever, that act like a bunch of asses. The temptation to lay about you and drive out the Demons of Stupidity is great. Know that it will be a neverending battle if you decide to take it up.

That said, sometimtes there are people like that, both the one who describes the people and the people described. If they were exposed to different segments of the population, they would have to adjust their views. But who has the means to get out and broaden themselves day in and day out?

In any case, patience. Most people will be struck by that killer dose of reality-check at some point in their lives.

This is the kind of shait that makes PO so much better than Gaia. Gaia is a VERY big community, and just about everyone just pops on it- and about 90% of people on Gaia are jerks like this. They live on the idea that the "Stereotype" is what they need to hold a whole community by. A lot of Gaian's are either racist, homophobes, egotistical, or just plain indecent....or they could be indecent, egotistical racist homophobes. By your powers combined, this kind of person needs to get the shit kicked out of them.

I just love how people like this make people like me feel like smarter, better human beings.
I admit, the dude shouldn't have taken his pencil--- but any other race/creed woulda done that and they'd still be jerks. I've had practically every religion, race, sexual preference or social class borrow a pencil from me and not give it back or have had someone just take a pencil or pen from me without permission. That doesn't mean I have to go around and assume that that person is responsible for their creed's actions. I mean what the fuck.

On a more serious note (or is it?), people, as a class, are pitifully stupid. The problem is that this country is trying to set the example for the world, and you know what the example is? Majority rules. Which means that, until someone does take a stand and does cull all stupidity from the human gene pool, we will continue to live among the stupid, the foolish, and the ignorant. The best way to deal with this is what we're all doing now: Make fun of them where they won't see. Because I think each and every one of us loves a good bit of smack-talking as much as the others.
