I think it's enough to be said that a politics forum really isn't needed. Much in the way as it would be one continuous argument over and over. There are forums for such things. We have threads to sate the appetite from time to time and that's fine. That's what the soapbox is for.

Is accurate to an extent. It just means we are growing and adding new opinions to the pot. Not a bad thing at all. But if it means that we no longer have any zeal, by new folks being here I'd tend to disagree.

I'm really sorry you may feel this way, but for us to have a politics forum would be just that, repetitive. You'll have the same arguments roll over and over and no one will agree. So you are in essentially the same bind.

Well I'd like to think we don't allow assanine threads such as those you described with the "lol" and if you truly feel/see those then you should bring them to the mod's attention and they will handle them appropriately as we have our spam thread that should contain all of that.

I don't think we need to drastically change our boards. Our boards are here for roleplaying purposes and a sense of family. We are not political boards nor ever advertised as such and I'd like to think that's what keeps us all the more civil towards each other.
I just don't see any emotional/relationship building advantage to having a politics forum on Pocket Otaku. I'm sorry. |
