What does yeast do to bread? Someone once told me I think it was Cal but now I've forgotten. I can't really cook, I can't even make grilled cheese without screwing it up. So sorry I can't help ya Katana, I sure your grand mum will like them no matter what! It's the thought that counts!  |

Yeast makes the bread rise, Mika. If I recall correctly, it's some kind of fungus or spore or something like that. Anyway, it makes the bread get bigger, and fluffier.

Well.... Christianity and Islam both were born from Judaism. It's also one of the oldest, still living cultures (maybe THE oldest... I'll have to check), and many great societies were brought about from the efforts of Jewish members.
So, I SUPPOSE you could argue that, yes.
