At Dragoncon while me and Antinua were waiting in some line or another we were talking to some guys about the rights to Firefly. Apparently Fox doesn't want to release the rights to the TV series, I'm guessing they're gonna wait for a high enough offer from another station. The Firefly/Serenity scene has been booming since it's release on DVD. Personally I can't wait for Serenity and I'm hoping Fox will release the rights to the television series so we can have a Firefly series again.
Maybe we can all plan something for opening night?

Wait.... Serenity had a series on TV?? wtf, why do I never hear about these things until theyve been cancled. Regardless, the movie was awesome. Nothing but good things to say about it. I would suggest everyone go see it before it gets out of the theater's. |

Yeah it was called Firefly and was only 1 season long. Fox ran it but it didn't do too well on Fox so they canceled it but won't release the rights for it to another station that it may do better on.
It's on DVD now. Wolf has it and he left it at my house so I could watch it.

This isnt the first time Fox pulled this crap. Anyone remember the Original Sonic the Hedghog anime that they used to play on saturday mornings?? After 2 seasons they cancel the series on a fuckin cliffhanger then refuse to give the rights to.... I think it was Disney, that wanted to complete the series, with the original artists and VA's. That was years ago though..... maybe they've changed. *prays* |
