I live about fifteen minutes from her house and I drive by it about three times a week. During this whole investigation, idiot rubber-neckers backed up traffic to see what was going on. And now some jerk news reporters are stationed outside her house with cameras.

I think she's been embarrassed enough, just let her go home without having to face the media, jerks.

EDIT: To those saying no punishment or no offense, however, this investigation cost the Duluth Police Department and I think the GBI a little over one-hundred thousand dollars. That's a lot of taxpayer money.

Well...yes...the local government did lose a lot of money funding search programs to find her...and yes, they SHOULD press charges. My issue is not proving her innocent vs. guilty...it's the fact that no matter what happened, it's not the rest of the worlds business...make mention of it, let people know that a bride ran off, and charges will be pressed, but I've seen interviews with her friends and family...it's rediculous. It's not the rest of the world's business as to what her mental condition or precursive actions were in the situation. Who are we to be her judge in this matter? It's not making a major impact on our society...the media is just capitalizing on the drama of a small town misshap. It really bothers me. I mean, take the whole Utah kidnapping incident: Yes, it was tradgic that the girl was kidnapped, but how many other kids have gone missing, and the media done NOTHING about it. It took some rich little snob girl from Utah upper-class getting kidnapped before they would set up an AMBER alert network. I find it really disturbing that our society is only concerned with the incidents they are TOLD are important, and are fed by the media.

The media felt the need to make a segment not far back of this just to talk about what was on President Bush's iPod, so.....Yeah.....
