Do you have a Car Auction in your area? I found a fantastic 1999 Ford Escourt Zx2 in top-notch condition and got it for only 2,400. So as much as you would have to pay for them to repair your car, you could probably get a much better one, even better than the ones you found on that website.

Okay, good news bad news time.

The good news: My mechanic, the same one who fixed my car two weeks ago, has taken responsibility for whatever the malfunction was which caused my car to overheat, and is fising my car for a minimal charge. I HAVE A CAR AGAIN.

The bad news: I don't have an excuse to buy a faster car.

Well we all knew that!!!! ^_^ Congrats on the car situation, glad it came out to that. My car is a piece of crap too..I thought itd crap out about a year ago..but hey it made it to Maryland and GA a few times..so im not complaining..and as soon as I say that its gonna fall apart *sigh*. Again congrats on the situation, glad it all worked out!!

Update. Wonderful. My car is, as of this moment, parked in Doot's parking lot. Why? Because it overheated while I was driving up there. I have a job that makes me, at max, fifteen hours a week, at 7.50 an hour. That's not even enough to cover rent. Not even close. I have three pieces submitted to various writing venues -- I won't hear back on any of them, good or bad until February and May. And now, wait for it, I may be out a car. How am I supposed to get a job? HOW!? With no transportation, I can't get a job, and with no job, I can't get reliable transportation.

So now, I'm reduced to begging. Does anyone have a car they need to get rid of? If it looks like shit, I don't care, so long as it runs. Does anyone know anyone who has a car they need to get rid of? Does anyone want to chip in and help me pay rent?
Edit: I seriously am joking. If anyone offers to pay my rent, I'm going to throw a bag of sand in your face. So don't even consider it. Not even for a second.

Scratch that, I'll ask my Dad. I don't expect much, but he offered awhile ago, so I'll ask him.

Don't be scared hon. You shoulda let me know it overheated! Also, I'm sure between the lot of roommates you have they wouldn't mind transporting you a bit until you get what you need. I also suggets you look into an area around where they work so as to make it a little easier if they need to drive you. Plus, there's us, just need ask hon. I don't mind running around town with you to find a job.

You need to look for something substantial and there's a TON of places hiring around where Jake works so that would be a good idea.

Either that or we find you a bike for the time being and you find something within a decent radius of the house.
