Yeah.
Has anyone heard if you will be able to access one unique character set on both the PS2 and the PC.
IE, can you run 1 account for both?
I can seem myself buying both versions depending on whether I was in the mood to watch TV while I play, or chill on the couch playing on my TV. |

That's a good question. I feel the same way, and I would buy both versions for convenience. Kinda like how I bought both versions of Oblivion. I really hope they figure out a way to make the 360 version compatible with the other servers though, but I'm not holding my breath. |

Ha, I'd get myself a PS2 if we could do that. That'd be awesome. Then again, I don't know how that could work out well. I fear that the PS2 version will be to the other PSU games as the DC PSO version were to the PSO games... in other words: it'll be the first to fall, or should I say, to be left behind in favor of newer ''prettier'' versions of the next gen console. And what makes me worry a little more in all this is that the PSU for PC will be tied with this ''cement block'' of a version in the sea of competition...
I wouldn't be suprised that M$ is working on a big plot to decieve and enslave everyone to their EVIL LIVE. I mean it started, they are giving more benefits to console games then PC games. Good exemple of that is the new Far Cry game, for Christ's sake, the only version that HAS a level editor is the console version!!! How wrong is that!? I wouldn't be suprised to see more content and updates on Oblivion 360 then on PC too ... but that's just speculation *mumbles mumbles*

Has anybody else heard about the possibility that you may have to have an constant internet connection even to play offline mode? It was said that it is supposed to reduce cheating, but the onlne and offline modes are completely different. Even extra mode characters cannot be used in online mode, so I don't see what the big deal is in needing a constant connection.
I'm pretty sure it may be a false rumor. |

I haven't heard that, but I doubt it.
As you said... they are totally seperate. The offline game has NOTHING to do with the online game. Not like PSO which was the same game online and off. |

Looks like the current release date is set for October for the English version. I'm going to stay strong and hold off on importing. Hopefully my friends will as well. It's only a few months away, but I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one delay, probably to November or December. Everyone.. keep your fingers crossed. |

Nov/Dec is definitely a more realistic target. Even that is a bit hopeful. The JP version is slated for, what, August 31st? We're still looking at translation time, localization, beta testing, etc. Not going to happen in a month's time. |
