I feel the same way =) I'm not "hardcore," nor do I care about how many other people have the same piercing that I do (and really, nose studs are so common now). I didn't get my piercings for any other reason than I thought that it would look good on me. And really, piercings are adornments. You should get them to accent yourself, and some piercings look better on some people than others. I think I would look aweful with a septum But on some girls, they look really cute =)
So, in a nutshell, regardless of how many other girls have it, I'm still getting a belly ring because you're right, they are cute =) But, due to the results of my polling, it looks like I will be getting the triforce tattoos first ^_^

at least you didn't get the webbing piercing...that just hurts thinking about it. I jsut remember when my dad cut the webbing inbetween his index finger and his thumb. It was nasty, since he needed stitches and such....probably why im a bit off of that idea. But triforce tatoos are cool. I originally wanted the sword of light and shadow and the sword of fire and ice on my arm...but outside forces tell me to not get those, due to the fact that getting magic card art on my arm is dumb (and this coming from a HUGE magic player) |

Piercings (to me anyway) don't really hurt; the needle is just pushing the flesh out of the way, it's not really ripping it.
People (mostly little girls that want one too) ask me all the time if the nostril piercing hurt. And they're always surprised when I say "no." I think people just expect piercings to hurt, so they do.

money is only a very small part of the issue....it turns out AWA happens right after Kumoricon, so I'll but cutting it really close with the conventions, and I'm afraid I may piss off my workplace requesting so much time off in such a short period.
In either case, do you know of any PO-ers that need a hotel room-mate? 'Cause I don't think I'll be able to afford it on my own.

Bumping the topic to show everyone my new piercings =D
I never imagined I would be getting three new holes in under 24 hours.
Anyway, I decided definitely not to go with guaging my ears, or the industrial, and instead got a second set of holes and a cartilage piercing. All for $11. Thank the bored piercers I work with for that =D
I should be getting my own piercing liscence pretty soon, too =D Within the next week, as a matter of fact ^^
Next up! Triforce tattoos, one on each wrist =D I'm having trouble finding a parlor, though. Back in J-town, I knew exactly which ones not to go to, but here I have no idea So I'm looking =)
After that, belly button, or (I'm now considering this) nipples. X)! |
