OK, post-surgery update:
The surgery went very well, and she's now the "Bionic Woman", as she called herself. 3 titanium plates in her left cheek and 4 screws, plus a metal nose splint. There was very little swelling and bruising, and she can barely feel the incisions since they're so close to her gumline. Her bite is back to normal--she was all happy because she got Chipotle for lunch. She's a bit loopy from the pain meds, but otherwise she's doing great.
Finding that out made me so happy. Knowing that she's happy makes me happy.  |

That's great news! I'm relieved that she's doing ok, and that things are one step closer to putting this ordeal behind. Next time you see her, tell her we're all rooting for her on her road to recovery  |

Good that things have gone well for her on the reconstruction. Hopefully the trial does equally as smoothly. |
