Gamefreak is a close second (by a girlscout's pubic hair) but they haven't made anything other than Pokemon (I think they did Drill Dozer but who cared)

If I could play games bu just one company for ever on: Gamefreak, by a long shot. How can you live without Pokemon? Can you truly LIVE without Pokemon? God, I don't even want to know.

A day after bashing Nintendo at a GDC developer rant, Spore designer Chris Hecker offered a public apology.

Spore designer Chris Hecker probably didn't realize that a firestorm of controversy would erupt over his comments yesterday regarding the Nintendo Wii. During a developer rant session at the Game Developers Conference on Wednesday, Hecker said that the "Wii is a piece of s***," slamming the system for its lack of power and Nintendo for only making fun games and not artistic ones. A day later, and after much outcry on the Internet, Hecker offered up a lengthy apology just prior to a presentation that he gave on Spore's powerful animation system.

"I was trying to be thought provoking and entertaining and fun, and a lot of the stuff went too far over the top on the entertaining and fun side, so that it was no longer thought provoking, just inflammatory. And in the process, I hurt a bunch of people I care about. And so, I want to apologize now," Hecker said.

He added that when he said those words, he was speaking for himself, and that he did not represent the views of EA or Maxis. Hecker also apologized to his coworkers, who he said were upset over the remarks.

"I do not think that the Wii is a piece of s***," Hecker said, and he applauded Nintendo for its innovation regarding the Wii's unique controller, its user interface, and the system's affordable price. He also commended Nintendo for its passion at making great games.

Hecker's apology was met with polite applause from the sizable audience. He then launched into an in-depth explanation of the animation system in Spore, the ambitious and long-awaited next game from Will Wright, the creator of The Sims and SimCity. Hecker's session was titled, "How to Animate a Character You've Never Seen Before." "

This guy is such a loser! I mean if you're going to say it then be a man about it and say it and don't go back the next day and say....oh yeah Ummmm I was only kidding. Most likely he released "Oh crap! I just pissed off the hottest console right now. I had better make good with them." This is quite surprising since a Sims game (My Sims) is coming out for the Wii. So isn't this a little hypercritical? Anyways....let's see here...

The Wii isn't art? Hello did you see Zelda (which I beat this week )? That game is freaking beautiful. Oh and sorry that the Wii makes "only fun games". Maybe they should make games like "Simearth" (most boring game ever! Does anybody even remmeber that one?)? Would that be better for you? Or maybe you'd love ANOTHER FPS system ....yeah that's what we need....more FPS...because that's what I love and feel that we really don't have enough of....FPS. Nobody makes those anymore. I liked every console that Nintendo put out the only ones I never owned was the Virtual Boy (anybody remmeber that one?). It hurt my eyes. Never owned a sega. Wish I had a Dreamcast if not just for one game...SOUL CALIBER! Man I loved that game and for the Dreamcast. Man it was fun. The Wii is only going to get better from here and other hand it seems like everybody is jumping off the PS3 bandwagon faster than they did the Brittany/K Fed Bandwagon. If he was going to say this he should have said it before the Wii came out. We don't care about graphics which as I've see are really good anyways. I mean a rock can only look so much like a freaking rock. Anyways...I've said my peace...or have I?

Well that remains to be seen, as some people have hopped back on after seeing the Home and Big Little Planet ideas. Which I think is gonna give it back some points in the market as soon as they actually come out.
