High School Reunions...?

Mary - I would love to pay NY a visit sometime. I've never been, and my bf actually has family up there, since that is where he was born. Someday I think we plan on it, just when I'm not sure >_<.

I may just try to plan a night out when I'm in GA, getting in touch with the people that I like and can get in touch with, to all meet up somewhere some night. Most of the people I've talked to lately are still in GA.

Eh...im with mary, actually on this one...I'd go. Mainly for one reason:

I want everyone to see who them missed out on.

I've changed VERY MUCH since highschool. A girl i go to college with that also went to my highschool can tell you the same thing. I've become a much different person since highschool, a person much BETTER than anyone could have become at my highschool...and i'd liek to rub it in.

And if my girlfriend were here, that would be all the more reason to go...show off the greatest woman in the world.

lol Shino, I meant more people from school, but maybe we can just make it a huge ass party some where, HS friends and friends I made outside of HS, while I was in HS, and lasted Mr. Green

Well, I know a lot of people are my age, which means thier 10 year reunion is now, happened recently, or happening soon. I know there are some younger, and I dont really see them responding Wink

I guess its the advantage of knowing the starters of PO for so long personally lol. I knew I could get good responses and opinions.

And I wasnt exactly popular. But I was known and friendly by many. Working at a game store during HS definitely helped with that lol. People knew me, but I wasnt close friends with anyone that could be considered popular, just friendly. I had my smaller group of friends, a couple of who are going, a couple of who I have lost contact with, and others undecided. I dunno, I'm a dork lol...but most of you who know me, know this already.

As odd as it sounds, I'm a shy, social butterfly. I know it doesnt really make sense, but its true. =\

I dunno..I don't see school as a way to better myself I see it as a place you go to get a piece of paper to work at a place that has nothing to do with what you learned and/or changes it completely.

You can take all the AP classes you want when you get your job in an office no one cares.

Take Mechanics through all of high school get a job as a mechanic and guess what for the first year you do oil changes and break jobs...Just cause you can fix a busted piston or re-align a fly wheel doesn't mean you're going to.

Take computer classes and learn everything about your job and then go work for a place where you fix code someone else wrote in another language completely. Razz

Learn to be a teacher then go work in a school thinking you will mold these kids into the future and find out you're restricted on what you can and can't teach and turn into a Babysitter that reads from a book the kids in your class are too lazy to read from.

Truly when you graduate High School/College you leave with the skills to work at the best fast food joint in town...That is all.

But you have a piece of paper that says you can do more.
