Another word on why Marvel "left" Capcom for EA
-Here are the Top 10 Best Selling Videogames in North America for the month of February 2004
1- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (GC, Nintendo) - 243,380 units
2- NFL Street (PS2, EA) - 167, 935 units
3- Metroid Zero Mission (GBA, Nintendo) - 151,807 units
4- Need for Speed Underground (PS2, EA) - 120,155 units
5- James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing (PS2, EA) - 115,944 units
EA owns 3 of the top 5 selling games in the country (James Bond for XB is also at #10) and while I contributed to the NFS Underground total I can't see why it's that high.
In the gaming industry EA means "money". If I ever make a game I'm taking it to EA too.
It also amazes me to see a GC game top the list when the system only like 10 people own it. It's like every GC owner (except me) buys the top games and nothing else. Of course I am taking all bets now that when Pokemon Colloseum comes out it takes the top GC spot easily. |
