Actually there is one particular bug in a Myst-style game where the game inevitably froze a few rooms before the conclusion. This made it the first game ever to be impossible to complete. |

And of course, the errors that appeared when you were trying to use a computer that was too fast for the game to handle, like the infamous Error 52 (54?) in the fourth Quest for Glory... |

That was a glitch for me, and an aggravating one at times.
However, one of my favorite game exploits is in Super Mario 3's final castle. You grab the 1-up mushroom on a particular bit of stairs, then you crouch-jumpon top of it. Stand up, and you get pushed through the wall to the top row of the Donut lifts... all sorts of fun. |

Ah, well. There are, of course, many interesting cheats for a lot of our games. Shows a sign of the times, really. I don't think many old games had stuff like that. (Like, Atari 2600 old, not Doom old) |

In perhaps the greatest sprots game ever, Atari Football, there lives the greatest glitch ever. If you were defense and tried to tackle the runner with the ball and missed, I discovered all you had to do was run past the runner, through the screen and you would instantly pop out on the other side gaining you another chance to tackle...it's awesome!

This isn't a cheat...but it is Atari 2600
This glitch led me to beat my friend Rich around 230 to 0
I say around because at 199 to 0 the game stopped scoring
