Well this isn't too eccentric but it is honesty...
1) Pay off all debts (house, car, student loans)
2) Pay off all Mom's Debts
3) Make sure Mom was set for life and never had to worry about anything ever again.
4) Buy a larger house and get it set up with what I want and buy 3 cars ( '96 3000GT VR-4 Spydar, Evo MR, Nissan Pathfinder Armada ).
5) Keep it all in savings so I can make huge donations to the ACS each year and make it so I never have to pay taxes. 
That's pretty much it.
Most of my $500M would be given away... I just don't need it. Besides all that, all my friends would probably have no debt and brand new vehicles. |

You know, every day I drive by this house in the morning. out front, there are always like 7 luxury vehicles parked out front. I mean, why do you have to have something like that. Why do you need a different car for everyday. That's just crazy.
I can think of a million better ways to use money then throw it away on vehicles that cost 80 to 150K each. That's just retarded.
And I don't need a huge house. If I were rich, most of it would go elsewhere. I just want enough money to live confortable and put my kids through school... when I have kids that is.
Even if I was rich, when my kids turned 15 or 16, whatever the minimum age to work is, they would get jobs. And they would buy their own car, and all their own stuff. Of course not the necessity items like food, rent, clothing, stuff like that. But anything they WANTED that wasn't required. Like a new PS2 game, or anything. They would have to earn the money. Just like I did.
Learn the value of a dollar. Learn responsibility the hard way. Like I did. You appreciate what you have more.
As a matter of fact, about the only thing I would pay in full for is my kids education. Because I know how important it is, and I know how hard it was for me during college. And that is the one thing I would want to be easier for my children.

I would take the money and put it all into an account.
Then I would do some traveling with the person who I care about more than anything.
A big roadtrip across the country. Just the two of us.
I'd make sure my grandparents had the best medical care.
Then I think I'd just live off the interest for the rest of my life or something. |

Wtih Five Hundred Milllion, the eccentricity would be fun, but I'm afraid I would probably be very practical as well, and put it into some sort of account where the interest is what I make my living off of, and do all those eccentric things with that (like purchasing a lot of animation) and probably at my death, the whole thing would be converted into a foundation grant and go do great work beyond my life.
At least, that's what I think I would do with it. It's probably not true, but it does look nice. |

Ahhh if I had 500 Million dollars I would......(Eccentric List)
1. Buy all the DVDs ever made, even ones I don't like (in case I ever wanted to watch them)
2. Buy my own airline and fly the planes myself where ever I wanted.
3. Buy Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Tom Hanks, and Meg Ryan to entertain me.
4. Buy my favorite bands so they can perform for me when ever the hell I wanted them to!
5. Buy Ming anything he wanted.

Lets see..If you get $500 Million in a lump sum that was lottery driven you'd come away with MAYBE $275 million dollars....If you leave that money in a bank you will earn interest on it and pay taxes on the interest because you would make over $20,000 a year on interest alone.
If you buy property you would pay property taxes. $3Million dollar house is roughly around $100,000 in taxes a year. And if someone builds a bigger and nicer house anywhere near yours the taxes will escolate.
Now if you buy expensive cars like Lamborghini's and Ferrari's or whatever you'll need to register them at about $10,000 a year on top of insurance being about $15,000 a year.
Lessee..You'll also have to pay off government officials, News and TV stations, as well as pay into the local schools because if you don't then they tend to harrass you insecently and try to get you audited a lot.
PLUS you have to hire an accountant to take care of your money that's about $30,000 a year.
So you MAY still have enough to retire and just live off what you have but I highly doubt it's enough to give any to your friends..Unless you decide to continue working...But you'll have to pay taxes for having a second job because your first job is your interest earned off your millions. |
