I just wear stuff that makes me feel good about being me. If that means dark eyeliner (and sometimes that does) and black, so be it. I wear it because I like it, but I love life. I also wear pleated skirts and other "prep" stuff because I like how I look in that, too. Doesn't make me prep, just makes me happy.  Heck, if I had my way, I would be wearing things like from FFX-2. I LOVE that stuff. Flowy, sexy, yet still cute.
I went through a very dark time in my life, and I wrote poetry about it. That was my release. Everyone needs a release. Everyone should be true to themselves though. If wearing fake goth stuff makes them happy and is really who they are, the more power to them. If they are doing it just to try to be cool, they need to learn a lot more about life. |

Are you serious? I guess that's just pandering to all the fake goths, then, which will sadly make the trend of gothicness no longer a safe haven for those who are suffering. Those "true goths" will then have to turn to something else for a way to feel unique. What will it be? Who knows? But it really makes me sad that companies feel they must drive people away for the sake of sales to the majority. God, I hate this country sometimes. |

I hate commercialism. Therin you are right about that. All for the sake of a buck. What happened to doing things because it was right, or for quality, or just to do them for fun? Companies used to make things to be better quality, and that was how they sold things. Now they just mass produce everything and sell an image to brainwashed people who eagerly lap it all up. |
