Mmm hair-eating.
I'll admit to being a bleeding heart liberal. I hug trees, support gay rights, and hug small children. And I"m damn proud of it, too. ^_- But I also respect those with different views. Gods know one of my favourite people in my Government class is also the most conservative person I've ever met. But he's hilarious, and surprisingly open-minded for a conservative.
I admit that I don't really know much about politics in general, but I've really really enjoyed this class on it. In fact, if I thought I'd have the free class periods available to do so (I won't, as a Bio major I'm going to be chock full of required classes) I'd probably take more government related classes just so I'd know more about how things work, and become a more informed voter. ^_- |

as from the UK, I dont know the difference, Democrat, Republicans its all the same to me really. (no offense)
A question:
Why in the US, does all it ever seems to be is that at a political...i dont know campaigns, like this one.
All I ever see is that someone (Bush or Kerry) just seem to stand there and say, 'I will make this a better nation' or something like that and then the people there just seem to go 'YAY' and thats it (of course they speak about different things) but it just seems completely and utterly mad.
Although all credit to Kerry he did in my own the best line from a polition ever. 'go to JohnKerry.com' i know that may seem dumb to most Americans, but I couldnt stop laughing after that! |

Wow. Hair-munching. As for not caring, there will be a point somewhere where a politician tick you off with one of his proposed things, and that will make you care. Maybe not now, but later...

And as an 85% Libertarian I cut down trees and re-plant 10 more in their place, Support gay rights, and hug children with nuclear arms. hehehe
And American Politics are like this,
1) Guy stands up.
2) Guy promises things.
3) Guy wins election.
4) Congress rejects guys Ideas.
5) Guy doesn't get re-elected.
In the case of Bill Clinton.
1) Guy Promises things.
2) Guy has extramarital affair.
3) Guy blows up asprin factory.
4) People elect a republican controlled congress that balances the budget.
5) Guy takes credit for balancd budget and steal an Ottoman as he leaves the White House. |
