Just saw it with Rev and Tobs, and I must say I was impressed. Christian Bale did a great job (albeit I think he may have overacted JUST A TAD as Bruce Wayne...but he has come a long was since American Psycho), as did Liam Neeson, as did Michael Caine, as did Morgan Freeman (Man do I love Morgan Freeman!).

I'll admit that I wasn't expecting much for this movie. I thought it was going to be really cheesy, but it turned out to be really impressive...and I would hope that they would make more like this. The only problem I see is that they really need to try to keep them in continuity with the original Batman movies, otherwise it would be weird to have two Batman storylines going on at the same time.

But I would LOVE to see Marilyn Manson in a Batman movie! Maybe not as the Joker, but as someone!

Though if they had to I wouldn't mind if they started a new continuity. I see it as a chance to remake the Batman movies into something that could be all it's own, and forget the horrible horrible mistakes of the past *shivers*

I'd prefer they start a new storyline of batman movies. Honestly, this thing of "introduce badguy, clearly kill off badguy" in the Batman films is horrible. Especially when there are so few truly promising badguys to work with in the Batman Universe. Maybe if they open up DC and start cross-working comics, like I wish Marvel would have the balls to do (and I guess they will at some point), they'd have to worry about this less.

It was a great movie, a really dug it, but one thing was extremely cheesy IMHO, and that's when he's interrogating Flass (Gordon's crooked partner) and everytime Batman scares him his face was shaking as he talked. I understand that scaring his opponent is part of establishing his persona, but I think it looked really really goofy, and kinda took away from the scary part. Kind of like whn you were little, did you ever want to laugh when your parents got up in your face and yelled for no apparent reason? I think if I were Flass, I would have done that. Other than that though, it's the best batman movie ever.

batman was filmed just down the road from us at the cardington hangers which is also where the airship 101 was built-im not seeing it as i cant stand that stupid moomoo katie holmes

Oh God, I loved this movie. I'm serious, I'm so getting this movie as soon as it comes out on DVD. THe dark storyline to me was an excellent adaptation of Batman and the actors all did an amazing job portraying these classic characters. Definetely a must-see.

I've actually now officially found a DC character I love. ^_^This movie was awesome. I actually figured the weird faces he was making were to further his hiding his identity-- afterall, people could recognize him by face shape and eyes if they know him decently, and Bruce Wayne is a well-known guy.
