WWII wouldnt have happened if we hadnt appeased him in his first request/demand/threat. the other officials had set that as sort of a test for him, and so we really gave him all his power by giving him that little first piece of land |

If ya think your teacher gave you a screwing, you can probably go inquire politely to why the grade was given, and if it still doesn't work out, you can ask someone over his head politely about it. |

Hey! I know this is like, almost 2 months late, but I just signed up recently and haven't caught up with all the posts yet, but here goes...

I wish more young people would stand up for themselves and their opinions instead of being driven like cattle and following the leader like lemmings over cliffs and into the seas of mediocrity.
There was a little story by I THINK Aristotle (can remember right now) called the CAVE where the blind (representing the common people) were sitting in a circle around a fire, backs to the fire. Then one man received the gift of sight (only one eye but that STILL gave him a tremendous leg up on everyone else). After discovering the wonder of the visual world, he attempted to enlighten the rest of the blind, but instead of thinking on his insights (no pun intended), the ridiculed and isolated him.
You are that person with the gift of intelligence, the ability to see things for what they are and not what you've been told they are. So stand proud and secure in the knowledge that there are people out there that DO see, and support you and others like you.
*phew*  Okay! I'll get off my soapbox now...
