I never liked Shadowbane.. the walking to me sucked but i did get yelled at alot for nohing so i quite. As for FFXI.. i spent my money for gifts so more waiting.. *sniffle*

I don't care what Az says about this game. I'm having a blast. I did run into a party last night that were a bunch of dolts and through /telling, I made a friend out of one of the people in the group and never want to see the others again. There will be people you dislike, at times, a group of them. But you could just disband and walk away.

I think I made like 18+ before the game pissed me off seeing as it wouldn't let me level. And I wasn't up for fighting pink birds and nearly dying each time in exchange for 20 XP.

I guess I can appologize for that sexual comment. I was out of line and have no excuse other than my life is shit and I tend to take it out on people who are better off than myself...Hence my Mod status...MWAHAHA

But still the game needs some major tweaking before it'll be golden.

Like here's one thing.."Phoenix Downs!" Every damn Square game out there has Phoenix Downs...Where are they in FFXI?

And actually to tell the truth after bitching about the game for like 3 days now I'm considering picking it up again just to see if they've fixed the problems or if the players have learned how to not be dicks yet.

The problem is that some people have patience for video games..As displayed in Scilers love of racing games. I have no patience which is why I like games like MGS, Splinter Cell, and FPS games. I need to be constantly immersed in action and adventure in order to stay happy. If I have to wait for anything but a cut scene I get pissed REAL easy.

In that case I suppose most of your arguments are understandable. Except for the dick people, I think maybe you just got a server with a bunch of shitty people in it. I agree that a pheonix down would be a very useful item, but I would have to say that they would need to price it accordingly considering if you just pheonixed down then the enemy would have like 1/3 or less of it's life and you beat it and get the boosted 150 exp or the like.

What helps me get through the waiting is to buy equipment that is only one or two more levels higher than my current one. That way, if I have 3,000 exp tnl, I'll keep pushing anyways, just for the equipment. Or I'll want to get higher leveled, so I can fight what used to be evenly matched enemies and increase my weapon skill so I can get a new move.

Well, I figure Phoenix downs could work like Rejuvinations in CoH.

IE if you take one while combat is still happening you're DOA again. You would come back with about 35-50% life but for say 20 seconds yer incapacitated...I think Life spell does that to ya too. And they can still give ya an experience penalty or whatever. It just sux to haveta rely on a white mage to come strolling by when yer REALLY deep in a dungeon soloing.

Another thing they need are shards. So that if one area gets say 150 people a new shard will open so that everyone isn't fighting each other for rights to kill other things. Seriously..If Square put me on the development team I'd fix this game till it was as good as an Orange Julius....I suck at metaphors or similies...Or...Words.

AZ, I guess what I was getting at is rather than being mad at the game, you seem to be mad at your friends for not playing with you. I've noticed this with quite a number of people.

I learned two things pretty quickly 1) You can't solo 2) You can't play with friends. Once you accept that, the game is a lot of fun. I met so many nice people while playing and they made it hard for me to leave the game.

Ps. If you are waiting for Square to change things before you come back, you'll be waiting forever. The game is finished. Nothing will really change, other than adding more content.

Yer right I was mad at my friends..Especially Doot...hehehe

But I gave up on anyone from PO even associating with me LONG before I quit the game. I moved from Ragnarock where all those stuck up Japs play to Phoenix and played the game with no one and basically met nobody no matter how much I conversed or helped people with my whitely red magics...I SAVED peoples asses on an hourly basis and never got a thanks or a thumbs-up. Hell I had like 500+ crystals I gave away to random people cause I didn't need them and barely got noted for it.

So maybe Phoenix server sux.
