Holy crap I feel old! Just about everyone was still in school! Anyway, I was staying at a friends house with my son the night before. The phone kept ringing and ringing, it was only like 9:30am, well after the planes hit. My friend finally answered the phone. She wakes me up saying that the US is being attacked and we're going to go to war! No I told her to stop F*@king with me it wasn't funny. Now I said this because my husband was in the middle of boot camp! So naturally I did not think it a humorous wake up joke at all. Her boy friend was rushing around the room to hook up the TV and there it was. I thought I was going to barf right there. Hundreds of miles away from my husband and no way to contact him. To top it off they gave all the guys a few minutes later that night, because the phone lines were clogged if you remember, to call family. I missed it! He didn't have the number where I was, so he had to leave a message with his dad for me.

That would be Kudasai I was referring to being in the army.

I was actually sleeping. I woke up to the radio (I set my alarm for radio) and it was reporting that oddest thing. I couldn't figure it out because I was still sleepy. I went into my mom's room (this was in high school) and she had the T.V. on. It was a very unreal feeling.

I was at highschool. Some kid said what had happened, and i thought it was a joke.

Then they pretty much slowed classes and every teacher tried to keep up to date, deciding that teaching wasn't the best thing to do.

Mine and Ming's mother was working that day in manhattan. We finally picked her up from the train station at about 12 oclock, when she was finally able to come home.

Lets just say that we didn't enjoy the day.

Well, as Dai said, we were practicing for the perfect child. I didn't even know about it until I got to work that morning. I walked into the shop and my boss, Faye's mom, was in tears. Babbling about how we're under attack and she's sent her only son to one of the largest schools in Texas. That in itself was in shock, but then I got to school. The halls had that same eery feeling they had the day after someone died. If people were talking, they were talking in low voices. The entire school seemed to be in a daze. Every class had their TVs on and if a class didn't have a TV, we went to the next class. We were terrified. Didn't know what to expect. All we knew was that we were now at war and life wouldn't be the same for a long time. 5 years later, I'm still waiting. The only thing I'm worried about is when Auran comes home and asks Dai and I what we were doing when the first plane hit. Uh...acquainting ourselves with each other?
