What is your favorite game glitch/cheat?

terin already got to it... little man firepower.

except he's a little backwards on what happens. Yes, you do have to be big to do it; but, when you kill koopster and get hit by him at the same time, you start blinking but there is no shrinkage animation, and you stay big, but are really small for purposes of getting hit; so, when you get a mushroom, you will shrink instead of grow, and then you can get a fireflower.

my second fav. glitch/cheat is the whole pipe thing/stairs thing in Mario 2. I'm not talking about any ole ordinary pipe thing. You can really screw around with the warp pipes and the ladders that go to another screen and glitch the game all kinds of up at dozens of places; it's a bit tricky to pull off though; it all relies on being able to freeze time with that 5th turnip time-stopper thing, and then pick up and throw an enemy, and time it so that it gets stuck in the ground, directly on top of a ladder... then you gotta jump on top of the enemy, and actually be riding it, (while still in front of the ladder but not on it), and then push up, and you can climb the ladder all the way to the top of the screen, even though it doesn't go that high.

that's where the mayhem begins.

It's been a while since my Mario 2 days...but can't you skip like straight to level 4 using a trick where you throw the door portal potion on a certain tube, go into the reverse world, and drop down the tube??

yep, that's a warp pipe. there's like 3 or 4 other ones too.
