New King Arthur Movie

I apologize itti. After I went back and read my post I realized that it was kinda confusing. The only thing I really didn't like about the movie was Aurthur. Not the character, but the actor. There is just something about him that I dont like. I am not saying he is a bad actor, just that he wasn't right for the part.

Overall I think it was a good movie and suggest you go seeing it in the movies.

Well here's my take on it. I love Arthurian legends, took a course in it actually... fun stuff. But anyway, I was mildly disappointed. The film was a fun to watch, but I felt it suffered somewhat from the whole High Action, Shallow Plot syndrome. Granted, this is understandable given the film's background. Its definitely based on the more potentially accurate, primitive legends of Arthur in which he was depicted as more of a tribal leader/war-hero than a king. This being said, many of these older legends' themes deal more with battles and violence and what not than the more romanticized version of Arthur (Malory, T.H. White, etc.). Given the film's background, I understand the reasoning behind its generally shallow plot. It does what it tries to do well, but personally I like more substance in my movies. I guess it goes to say, I prefered the more romanticized legends of arthur than the older legends.

Oh, and just to make no mistake, Kiera Knightley t3h r0x0rs!!!! Definitely one of the best portrayals of Guinevere to date.

The story was very interesting considering what I am used to. There are some parts that make you just tilt your head to the side and go ... WHA?
