Bookwise, one book that always is guarenteed to make me cry is The Education of Little Tree which is an autobiography of a cherokee boy growing up with his grandparents during the depression in the deep south.

Ah memories.
I started buying up the Generation One sets and even though they don't make me cry they sure soften up my heart. Very nostalgic feeling watching them over again. |

I cried when Vegeta died...*sniffle* It wasn't his fault he was evil...Damn Frieza!
I have an Anime called "Weapon" I have yet to watch but apparently it's supposed to be the most depressing anime EVAH! I plan on watching it one day. |

I cried at Spirited Away, too, but they were more like tears of awe or something. I think I was crying because the magical world went away, and it was a good magical world.
I totally cried when Princess Serenity was killed on whichever movie it was where they are on the planet with all the evil plant things. Kisenium blossom or whatever they are called. Been a while since I watched it, but it was very sad. |

That was my favorite of the Sailor Moon movies. Quite possibly because not only did Prince Endymion show up but Chibi Usa played a very minor role, thus delighting me to no end. Oh how I hate that pink haired creme-puff. |

Thank you Rev, i'm not the only one who tried to shoot themselves while watching Saikano.. I rarely cry at movies/anime/books, I usually get angry...like in the last Harry Potter book, I think i through it across the room a couple of times, I got a little upset.
K-Chan, there isn't anything wrong with getting emotional over an anime/movie/book, 'cause if you are getting that emotional, then the author is doing their job and doing it well. *smiles* you are doing them proud because authors are trying to envoke some kind of emotional response from the viewer or reader!!! |

...and I laughed at you while you were doing it, too.
Saikano is a really good anime for the first episode, and maybe the last, though I found it really boring during the middle. Still, the only thing about that that even made me -almost- want to cry is the AMV I got of it to "I Believe" by Blessed Union of Souls, because that's a damn pretty song, oh yeah.
As far as having an emotional response to writing..well, I can't really say anything negative about that. I've been told many times that my own writing has made people cry on occasion, and if I ever complete Eternal Dragon, it'd -better- get everybody in tears or I'll have to toss it out again. xD |
