Question-- is it explained that Pyramid head has an actual backstory in the game? If not, they might go the route that he -was- the transformed and hiedous version of that Janitor in the world of darkness. I know that he was dead in the sort of in-between world in the bathroom, but, that doesn't mean he doesn't have another crazy psychotic manifestation in the darkness world. <3

Yeah in the second one the Pyramid Head's were the executioners in that prision on Toluca Lake and he manifests in the second one.. kinda as an avatar of james guilt (you know to torment him and stuff)

but i think for the movie they were trying to make him come off as the evil manifestation of the janitor? cuz didn't the movie try to imply that the janitor molestered her or something? i don't really know.. i missed pieces of the movie cuz i with a large group and kept getting asked questions and making bets on things we thought would happan or names we thought woudl be the same or diff (i won like two bucks lol)

I always thought Pyramid Head was a manifestation of those who entered Silent Hill. It made sense to me that James' Pyramid Head was a creation of his mind in order to feel like he was a victim, so he wouldn't feel so guilty over what he'd done. As a way to Punish himself for deeds and feel a kind of repentance. You know? Like "oh yea I did a horrible thing but look I have to fight this killer thing so i'm being punished for it."

Also what did you guys think about my earlier point? The reaper specifically said that Chris would find Sharon's daughter and cleanse the town. Chris did say he was going to come back with people who knew what they were doing didn't he? My prediction is that in the next movie, he will come back to Silent Hill with others (maybe survivors of Silent Hill) or just by himself and he will resolve the story.

The Janitor and Pyramid Head never really seem to be made into the same character to me. The Janitor is that disgusting, tongue-flicking thing that coats the bathroom in pulsating blood vessels, and that's already his Otherworld manifestation.

Well i've never played the game but saw the movie last night. After the kicking special effects and the gore I decided its better that it is fairly better than most video game movies but the ending is worse than Halo 2. Very unsatisfied with the ending as a movie in whole.

I only played the first one, but never beat it. I thought Pyramid head had something to do with the outcast old lady. When they were all heading to the church the old lady gave the spirit fingers to the church member that straggled behind and was stripped, twice. I just thought the old lady summoned him. I liked the ending. It was kinda like if you played a game with multiple endings and got the mediocre end. The mother and daughter didn't die, but they didn't really survive either. Even though they made it out of Silent Hill, they're still in limbo. Also, my fiance and I agree that Laurie Holden is freakin' hot in those leather pants. She's so hot she's on fire! Pun intended.

I saw Silent Hill. I never played the games but my friend that came with me have played everyone of them and said it was really close to the game. I really loved it. Very creepy.
