That is when we fall into chaos because people who deserve to be Firemen end up working at McDonalds and people who deserve the McDonalds position end up being Firemen because they got there first and the county wasn't allowed to judge you based on Physical fitness or intelligence.

And don't say that the African American society NEEDS special consideration because they were enslaved 100+ years ago. How many years does it take to get your shit together? The Irish were treated as voting stock and worked to death building a rail-way along with the Chinese..They seem to be doing fine.

The Mormon people were treated as outcasts and hunted for fun by opposing religions and they seem to have carved a nice Niche in the world.

HELL the Australian continent was inhabited by thieves, murdurers and rapists that England didn't think were fit for society...IE Outcasts and look...They have Cities and culture.

We're straying off-course. The original point of the discussion was about flat-out refusal of a service to people with different opinions/philosophies than you. Trying to apply discrimination to academic exams and scholarships blows the idea out of proportion on something that doesn't even necessarily apply to it...

But it does apply. You can't just pick some topics that are descriminating and others that aren't. That's not fair. And since we're talking about fair, it is important to blanket the whole of the nation with equal rights.

My other question is since Shurikane lives in Canada, how does this affect her? I never understood why people from other nations gave that much care about other countries. Do I feel sorry for Israel for being massacered everyday, but it really doesn't effect me. I'd really like to know because I don't understand that mentallity.

I can't believe I'm doing this ( ), but I think I'm gonna have to side with Graillick on this one. You want equal rights? Fine. Don't expect handouts then just because you're too lazy to work, and don't you DARE play the "racism" or "discrimination" card. If we're equal, we're EQUAL, 100% absolutely. If you want to practice something that makes you different...then do it in the privacy of your own home, in a private church, a priviate group, etc, and keep it to yourself.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, there's such a double standard that it makes me sick. Not that I'm against "gays" or anyone else out there, but just because you are or were discriminated against doesn't mean YOU can discriminate. If there was a gay doctor out there who decided to refuse treating straight people, you wouldn't think anything of it.

That's why groups like the NAACP and GLAAD can exist, as well as all these other social and support groups for those discriminated against. It's not discriminant, its "empowerment". But you know what would happen if some guys decided that they wanted to create an all white, NON-HATEFUL group for white empowerment (NOT WHITE SUPREMACY...don't you DARE mangle my words...)? They would be bothered left and right because some "minority" would be denied admission and create a huge problem, just to use the racism card and create an uproar. If someone wanted to create college scholarship for "white kids", they would be cast away from society as a racist.

And yet, when I graduate college I'll be granted the gift of about a $100,000 debt that I have to pay back. But the minority kid who comes from a family that has nothing graduates school with NOTHING to pay back. And I work MY ass off to pay for my education, while he starts saving his money and building a life for himself. It's not fair. Not all white people are the f**king idiots who enslaved people and committed massive crimes on humanity. Why should I have to pay for shit that not even MY FOREFATHERS did? That's right...while all that shit went down, my family was still in their own respective countries minding their own friggin business.

I know I've digressed from the topic at hand, so let me bring my thoughts to that. A doctor that refuses treatment to ANYONE is an asshole, plain and simple. It shouldn't matter who is what, or who believes in what, or who looks like what. But then again, any doctor who refuses treatment of someone for these reasons is an idiot also, as GAAZ mentioned. We live in a capitalistic society, and I HIGHLY doubt anyone would refuse your treatment nowadays, especially with how doctors are paid. But even if the doctor does refuse you treatment, that's his right, so who cares anyway? I'm sure you'll find another doctor who will treat you. And even so, the article says that they can't refuse you emergency treatment, so 9 times out of 10 this is not going to be something life threatening in the first place.

We should just be people. We shouldn't refer to our gay friends as "our gay friend". They're just "friends". We shouldn't refer to our black friend as "my black friend". He's just your friend. We as a people are so f**ked up, and whiny, and selfish. EVERYONE. We all need to sit back and calm the hell down, and stop all the BS that we have become so accustomed to doing.

That is a list of their beliefs and many "Urban" Sites state they are a racist group. I'm sure some people in the group are. There are Racist black people too don't deny it. But the founders, as far as I can tell (I can't access www.naawp.org from my work computer because it is labeled "Racist") seem to just get tired of not having the advantages minority parties have.
