I have compleated my first power winding setup are you ready to see its awsome glory?
Ok, maby not glory, its more like a screwed together peice of junk, but it is my mandrel

Simple, not very elegant, but functional. Basicly 3 peices of wood and an aluminum rod. Right now its set up for 3/8" rings in 14g and smaller wire.
I've drawn up plans for a modular design that will allow me to have different sized rods, and not make 10 different mandrels, or have to make one huge one with multiple holes, but thats for later.


These are a few of the first coils i have made, and as you can see, they need some work. There is a certain finess to power winding, but im getting closer.

Here is a bracelet I made with intent to sell, but it turned out he wanted something smaller, im debating weather to tear it apart or try to sell it to someone else

The only thing is I wish the little rings were colored, like blue anodized alum, but i only had those avalible

The next makes me a big geek....

O Noes!! a chain maille dice bag! Its a bit big for a dice bag, and a little thick, but its a nice sized pouch. I kinda want to get $12 in nickles and fill it up, so i can have coin purse heh heh.... to much nerd? thought so... im sorry
anyway, im gonna make the next bag with smaller rings, and probably smaller gauge too.


I belive my next project will be a chain maille coif, i got some experiance with the pouch, and i think i can do it preaty easily.

I dont want you guys to think I stopped weaving!
Far from it, I just had to slow down because of the end of school. Now that its summer though, Im back in full swing, and you can expect some updates now and again

This first picture is Dicebag V2.0

I like it much better than the first one, you cant see through it, and it closes very nicely. You cant see it in the picuture, but the top is little triangles with the top ring threaded with the leather thong, It makes for a nice effect when its opened. 1/4" rings, 16ga galvinized steel

This is more an experement than a project, I did it for the next project ill show you

Its a full persian chain, split into two half persian 3-1 chains, and connected at the ends, the aspect ratio of the rings is two big so it looks kinda ugly, but it was just an experiment. 3/8" rings, 16ga galvinized steel

This is probably my favorite peice to date

Its a realy cool necklace. Its an aprox 22" half persian 3-1 chain connected togeather into a box chain, with a mobius ball at the end. I wanted to connect them into a full persian chain, but the aspect ratio of the rings was too small for it so I just did box. The mobius ball at the end is made by having every ring pass through every other ring in the same way.
chains are 1/4" 16ga galvinized steel and the ball is 3/8" 16ga galvi steel

And lastly, but certanly not leastly, SHAZAM!

Thats the start of my shirt, its not a whole lot right now, but you have to start somewhere. 1/4" rings 14ga galvi steel.

Im working with steel and copper to make intresting paterns,

update on the shirt: I have about half of the collar done, and a little more than a square foot of material for the front or back, ran out of wire gonna head to homedepot tommorow
