Old Dungeon Master Stories...

Speaking of critical fumbles! There was this clever but sneaky little Rogue named Markas Swordhand (CN). Now when him and his 8 other compainions were searching an enemy fortress for another captured companion. Breaking into one of the locked rooms Markas finds a Necklace of Fireballs Type VII and quickly hides it in a pocket not wanting the group's Warmage (A greedy, greedy man) They continue to go through the fortress attempting to find the fallen companion when Markas stumbles upon a secret passageway! They go through the passage way with Markas first single file. At the end of the passage way there was a door that was stuck but on the other side it sounded like there was some sort of machine. (Metal clashing on metal) So he breaks the door down and barges in ready to strike at the few guards in said room. But it wasn't a machine room.... It was a mess hall. WITH 2 evil outsiders and 44 Kobolds and 2 Lycanthropes of the rat kind all chewing on the groups "Companion" (Long dead) He immediatly decides to throw the ENTIRE necklace of fireballs at the center of the table. (Keep in mind NO one behind him knows whats going on only that the machine stopped) He tosses (attack roll : Nat 1) Oh no.... and it slips out of his hand and comes crashing to the ground at his feet. All of them. The biggest explosion ever. Every party member and half of the mess hall must make a Reflex save. Only person that makes it? Markas (Reflex save Natural 20 + level 13 Rogue) Everyone else dies. He starts to run but the tunnel was destroyed in the blast so has to turn around and fight. Needless to say he thens gets killed by the rest of the kobolds and one of the Evil outsiders. An ENTIRE TPK (Total Party Kill) in less than 3 minutes. Amazing... That player was never entrusted with Necklace of Fireballs EVER again.

Hahaha that's awsome!

When I was younger and played in Cali somehow I always ended up as fodder and died.

But oh same campeing I was also punting rocks at zombies and rolled a nat 20 and killed 3 with a single punt which was fun since there was i think 100+ zombies, ask Silvanus i think she might remember the exact number.

I need to play D&D again...

I say we play. All we need is one DM and 3 to 5 players That's not going to be hard at all PO. We could play maybe once a month?

Hilarious, rolling a 1 on a ranged touch attack, thats like rolling a 1 on attacking a kobold. Incidently, Im not going to question why a group of levl 13 characters couldnt pass a DC 14 Reflex save >_> Well, I bet since circumstances were mitigating and they all went off at once, your DM bumped teh DC a bit (read: buttload).

Incidentally, I dont know that many of the table topers live anywher near each otehr here, and I run a weekly game at home, so Im afraid I really cant commit to another game as my home game takes up a lot of my time. Id love to play in like the PO chat room or some such, if anyone wanted to do that. Lemme know.

You can't play D&D in a thread. Need to use IRC or something. Real time comunication is part of the charm.
