That frustrates me. Not only does 360 get new songs (including Dead! which one of my favorite My Chemical Romance songs!), but it's gonna get an Explorer guitar, AND downloadable content?
Now I feel like I wasted my time with the PS2 version.

^ It just makes more business sense to have all the enhancements to the 360 version...thus making more ppl want to go out and buy the 360. The PS2 is getting to be phased out and has more of a limited capability w/ the the 360 and PS3 and Wii out.

Well... the only reason I have a 360 is b/c I got it for $300 instead of $400.
I originally wasn't going to buy GH2, but the Downloadable stuff and the new songs make me feel a little better about it.
Now if they could only figure out a way to lock freebird so no one could EVER pick it.

It sux, I always enjoy the songs from all these sort of games but absolutely suck at playing.
Kugyou got me hooked on the DDR music forevers ago. Maybe that's why/how I like techno and trance so much lol |

360's "wired" guitar is actually Microsoft's fault...?

Gamers have been spoiled by wireless controllers this generation, so the reaction to Red Octane's announcement that Guitar Hero 2 for Xbox 360 would have a wired guitar, just after they'd released a wireless one for PlayStation 2, was disheartening. Unfortunately, Microsoft's been stingy about allowing other companies to develop wireless products over their technology -- lame.
Reporters from Wired caught up with some Red Octane folks at CES, however, and the outlook may not be completely bleak, as they're currently hoping to work something out with Microsoft before the game's March release (seems unlikely, given how close that is) or release an unlicensed wireless guitar sometime later this year (our money's on that). |
