An awa thank you! - To the one that did so much

As everyone knows, AWA was a lot of work to get setup and keep going to be successful. And there are many people to thank for AWAs success. I thank all those involved with it.

There is in fact one person that went above and beyond the call of duty and truely made it a success and I personally wanted to give her and her main support thanx for that.

Saleb Duvat really busted her tail to make sure that everyone that went to this con had everything they needed. She had a lot of support from others around her, especially DocX, but without her organization and her undying passion to make things work and to help people, I'm not sure we could have done even half as well as we did at the show.

Saleb helped set up trips to the airport to pick people up and drop people off, not to mention got the rooms for an awesome rate and kept everyone fed and happy, even though it was a huge hit for her and the Doc.

So I would like to personally and publicly thank Saleb and DocX for all that they did for PO during this show. You are both a huge part of our success and I wanted everyone else to know that.

Indeed. Saleb, I was extremely impressed with all the work you put into this weekend. I know everyone appreciated it.

Hell, the first night I was there poor Saleb was up until an ungodly hour sewing costumes and cooking and whatnot. That's dedication.

It was great to have you finally let your hair down for a bit on Saturday night and have a good time.

The food was excellent as well... seriously... could I book you for my next party or gathering?

hey although i wasnt there for awa i think its awesome that u guys had fun. I wish I coulda been there. Thanks to saleb and doc eventhough i wasnt there just knowing that u guys went out of ur way to make everyone welcome cheers me up. Im proud of being part of po.

I just wanted to add my two cents worth. Thank you so much for the hospitality, the comraderie, the food (and booze-but we won't talk about that too much! ) , and the fun! Saleb, you've got a cute little guy there and thanks so much DocX for your help. Shino, you da man! I know you were critical of your costume but it ROCKED! Mayhap next year we can get a few more people as their POs and enter a group of originals! Anyway, thanks again and hope to see y'all again! :spinnyeyes:

I concur..This con rocked and it was all thanks to the hard-workin PO team.

Happo showed me the ropes of the con.

Saleb cooked like some kinda wind of tastyness.

Dooters stuck to the table and made a great B-day speech.

Shino sold like it was in his blood.

And all them arty people artied all over da place!

A drunktard like me couldn't ask for better friends than you guys! Thank you all for making this weekend so amazing! I can't wait till the next get-to-gether! (I guess that is a hyphonated word?) You guys rock!

Indeed it was an amazing time. And you guys really have seen an inkling of what Saleb has done for PO. She absolutely worked her fingers and wits to the bone to pull off a seamless convention. Much of the time the artists get the limelight due to them providing the visual aspects of PO and the tech team for making these things digital and accessible, but it takes the the determintation and passion for structure that keeps us all together and fluid.

Saleb creates that, maintains that, even at her own expense. She honestly has gone above and beyond the call of duty so many times and often without the recognition as her position is one that probably would never merit the time for kudos, but I wish to give them to her.

Thank you Jeannie, honestly, for everything you have ever put forth for PO and me on a personal level.
