Acrylic paint and clothing????

We've had a bit of an accident, somehow a tube of purple acrylic paint was left near a bunch of clothes and its been squahsed and aload has gone all over 4 items of clothing, we immeidiatly chucked them in a bath of hot water wioth washing powder in, but does anyone know how to get the stuff out completely?

the items of clothing are

a white ice hockey shirt
a white soccer shirt
a white vest top
and a pale pair of blue jeans

I think that most likely it wont come out at all... I have pants with acrylic paint on them from threee years ago...if they are all white then you can try bleaching, many times, but I think acrylic tends to be pretty permanent.

eee I've never wanted to get the paint off my clothes b4 seeing as how I put it there on purpose ^^;; I googled tho and found some sites that may be helpful :

Hope those help ^_^ Also try using one of those clorox bleach pens on the shirts. I've used them b4 and find them very helpful. If the shirts are Nylon tho it'll turn them yellow, and if its polyester (sp?) it may burn a hole in it >_<;; Well hope I've helped, good luck!

Thanks, I'll get chixie to take a look at this lot later, we're also gonna run down to the dry cleaners a little later and see what they suggest

hey its chixie on rivas account-seems that ive got to sit and scrub each item with a toothbrush and washing powder until the paint comes out-luckily the paint is still wet-we threw the items into a bath of water which has made life a bit easier-i had thought about bleaching the tops as the paint is mainly on the white parts but im not sure how the fabrics will react to it though
