Simple question, why in the world do people ask you questions when all they intend to do when they get the answer is complain and whine about it.

Case and Point: (yesterday)

I'm at work in my own little world actually having a pretty good day for once. And then one of my friends calls me over. So, me being in a good mood walk up and smile and ask her, "What do you need"

Before my friend has a chance to answer she's interupted by some little retard who thinks he knows everything. He shoves a package in my face and asks how to make labels for it. I look it over and ask to see the paperwork.

Now this particular order is kind like 10 kits shoved into one bag. Each kit gets their own label, and then the bigger bag they're shoved in gets the exact same label except it says 10PCS under the quantity not 1PC.

So, I tell him to take it back to the label makers and...and I get interupted by him getting an attitude and saying he already did that and got the labels. See our paperwork have these neat little barcodes where we can scan them and then the compy makes the labels. On this particular order you just have to scan it once for the smaller bags, and then scan it again and change the quantity for the larger ones.

So, me still trying to be in a good mode says, "I know you did that. The bigger one gets the same label with a different quantity."

He just huffs and says, 'Well does that work when you scan it?"

I smile and say "Yes, as long as you ask whoever makes the labels to change the quantity to 10PCS."

He then starts to work in circles with me trying to argue with me, and me the entire time trying to explain it while getting interupted every 10 seconds with his whinig and complaining.

Finally I look up and see one of the girls that makes labels. I call her over and smile and ask how her days gone. She smiles back and says fine. I hand the the paperwork and ask her if she could please make the labels for the bigger bags for me. She takes it and starts to make the labels. The guy then goes over there and starst to argue with her and tell her she did her job wrong.

I call him and tell him if he has any more questiosn to ask the guy helping him, cause me and the other guy,a friend of mine, have worked together so many times, we know pretty much the same thing.

He comes back with, "Well, if I thought he would have known I would have asked him. He probably didn't know anyway."

My friend nods that he did. The guy then goes over and starts to argue with us both. As he walks over, I just smile and say, "I got to get back to work. You two have a good day." I hear the guy say something under his breathe.

I just look up at the girl that called me over to begin with. I look over my shoulder to the guy and just say, "And you're welcome for the help...even though you had a bad attitude about it the entire time."

So there's the question. Why is it that people love to think they know everything about a job when they have been there maybe a month tops. And why do they argue with you when they ask a question. And why is there always an attitude.

It's simple. Simple and stupid. They ask you so they can have someone to argue with so they can fell big and as if they have done somthing when they really haven't.

They ask because they don't know. The problem is, then they think they've done it right and it keeps turning out wrong. You going back to a place they think they've cleared is only more frustration for them.

As someone who's beaten his head against the wall as the idiot in those kinds of situations, it usually takes someone to show me where I missed a small yet important detail, and then I just feel sheepish.

If he keeps being an idiot, that's when the problems start.
