So, yeah.
It's been a while since I've seen a movie I've walked out of the theater saying - I must own that. The writing in this movie was fun, quick and smart.
Josh Hartnett has really come around from crummy teen slasher flicks to this and I was pretty surprised that I liked him in it. He did well. And Lucy Liu breaks out of her bad A, bitch, Oren, Charlies Angel to be a sweet and bouncy love interest.
You may cry Pulp Fiction or North by Northwest (which the film nods to) but we go through periods of times where this genre of film goes missing for a while - or at least we think it's gone since nothing good has come from it - anyone see Taking Lives (groan - although Angelina always makes some great steamy scenes) or those that are good aren't ever released on a large scale (catch 11:14 sometime).
Expect to hear some out loud chuckler lines and the lightning quick quips that are exchanged.
Anyone who was a fan of Payback (Mel Gibson) would do well by checking this out. |

I saw it and it was great. (With Doot)
Only complaint was 15 minutes of James Bond discussion...Since I hate Jimmy Bond it's understandable.
But the movie was tre cool.
I have a theory...Any movie with Morgan Freeman or Buce Willis is in at least SOME degree good. Put these two guys together and you have the best movies EVAH! |

I was interested in seeing this movie, but didn't really know how it would pan out. My initial belief was that is was something akin to Pulp Fiction, and it looks like you guys confirmed it. And since you all liked it, I guess then I'll try to make it a point to see sometime soon.
