I'm not sure if anyone here ever got into Planetside. I loved it when it came out back in 2003(?). Like many Sony online games, the player base has declined over the years. They merged some of the servers last year to reflect that.
In an effort to reinvigorate the game, Sony started a Planetside "Reserves" program. You can download the client for free, and play for free. The catch is that you're limited to Battle Rank 6. This just means you will have a limited amount of certifications available to work with.
Still, Battle Rank 6 will let you play with a few different weapons/vehicles. It's still a fun game, and you can't beat free! I play on Emerald if anyone decides to try it out.

Ah, that's right! I remember reading about this a while ago... I'mma have to check it out. I'm not much into the FPS genre, but, hey... free is free. Lots of people liked it so it can't be all that bad. I might have to give her a go.  |

Oh, I played this a while back. this harens back to something I told Faye LONG ago. That the MMORPG market is interesting, but it will be revolutionary when someone produces a successful MMO title that doesnt end in RPG. The idea of the MMOFPS is, to me, fascinating. I hope to see something like this explode one day. |

Then you should also look to a game called Huxley thats being made. Looks like it will become the successor to Planetside soon.
On that note who is playing and what server are they on? Cause i'd love to join in for a round. |
