Final Fantasy titles, Silent Hill, and Castlevania to launch with PSOne emulation service. First details inside.
The latest issue of the UK PSP Magazine has several new details on what the near future holds for the PSP-PSOne emulation launch titles.
No release date was announced, but Sony did confirm that it plans to have up to 7,000 PSOne titles available via the service by the end of 2007. Several titles announced for launch were revealed, including Tomb Raider, Castlevania: SOTN, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, and Silent Hill. There will be other titles at launch as well but no other titles have been announced at this time.
The magazine also mentions that a new firmware update will be released for the PSP around the launch of the PS3. We'll keep you updated if any new information becomes available."
So how many people will pay for the "joy" of playing NFL Gameday (or any of the PS2 989 library) or Twisted Metal 4 on their PSP? Speaking of which, why are the only games announced NON-Sony games? Hmm... |

How are they planning on emulating the games that require two analog sticks to play? |

For the PS1, there really weren't many that did REQUIRE both sticks.
Either way, I'll be grabing a few of them for download!
Especially SOTN since I don't actually own an American Version. Just the Japanese PSone and Saturn versions. |

I kinda want a PSP for the next Metal Gear game...But I have Ultrapuppy or I can steal Una's cause he never uses it. |

I can't imagine playing FF7 or 8 on the psp. It would kill your eyes trying to read all that text. |

You'd be surprised. I have a Turbo Express and it's the same idea really. TV sized games on a smaller screen than the psp.

sony is has to much stuff to focus on one thing.the psp,ps3,ps2 something is going to drop. |
