Thought this would be a good topic o conversation.

I live in the Atlanta area where I have become fond of RuSan's for sushi. But for a quick and good sushi fix, Whole foods does pretty well. They make it themselves w/ whole pieces of fish unlike the nasty grocery store bacteria magnet sushi.

Until I found out about RuSan's, Umezono was my place to go...and they're across the street from RuSan's!

If you like a little more traditional and quiet place, go to Umezono.
If you prefer someplace a little more lively and relaxed, go to RuSan's.

I haven't been to Umezono's yet, but I've heard good things.
As far as my favorite place for Sushi, I'm firmly entrenched in the RuSans camp ^_^. I loves me some Gojira.

No Godzilla is the red snapper flash fried, rolled in rice, flash fried again and topped with spicy mayo and roe.

I love ru san's as well because its cheap and they have that all you can eat buffett at lunch time.

but if you're ever in athens the best place is Utage. It's more traditional and the sushi is much higher quality. its so good! its a little more expensive but they do have someyummy lunch specials.
^.^

Ahhh

I want to try their new Candy Maki next time at RuSan.

Tuna and salmon on the outside...and I think something similar to a california roll on the inside.

I don't really eat fish sushi, only veggie/avacado rolls and the like, but a long long time ago I ate fish, and I really liked this place called Sekisui. I don't know if there are any in Atlanta.

And if any of you are ever in Portland and are jonesin for some good asian food, there's this place called Steamers where (as the name implies) everything is steamed. IT IS SO GOOD. They have dumplings and bao and edemame. Among other things :3

Your sushi options around my area are highly limited: Tokyo Hibashi Grill, Shogun, and that place out at the mall. Last I heard the mall sushi was a crowd pleaser, but i dont eat the sush, so I cant say fer sher.

Mmmm. In Atlanta, RuSans is yummy. I have to say, though, it's a split between Tanaka and MF Sushibar for my favorite. Tanaka is very small, traditional and oh so good. MF Sushibar is in Buckhead and it's expensive, but well worth it. MF stands for "Magic Fingers". ^_^
There's another place in Duluth, but I forget what it's called.
In New Orleans, it's Ninja. Hands down. Really good sushi, and great food in general. Plus it's super nearby--I'm maybe three blocks away at the moment. And who doesn't love a restaurant called Ninja!
