Need For Speed Carbon

If you haven't picked this up, and you liked Most Wanted as Much as I did, you'll love this game. They kept everything that made it cool, random pursuit mode, random street races with increased purse amount, added some cool things like ability to re-render body kits free handed, change all decals color and size schemes, broke the cars into tiers making later cars that much more important but not completely overpowering starter cars, and the Canyon is sick, absolutely sick.

Pick it up, it's well worth. Oh, and I got the collectors edition with 10 added cars including...The Roadrunner...God has blessed the racing games this day.

I'm awaiting a copy from EA, I liked the first Underground title, but not really liked any NFS since so I've got mixed hopes for it tbh.

I love Carbon and have the PC collectors edt ($40). I like the fact they fixed the drift mode so that it's quite a bit more realistic.

My biggest thrill of the game is the fixed the way the cars exhuast sounds. V8s and V12s finally sound like 8s and 12s. The Camaro SS you can start with if you go the Muscle car route rumbles and sounds very nice.

Well got a boxed XBox copy and a Promo Jewel Case PS2 copy yesterday.

I've played 12% of career mode so far on the XBox, although I'll be trading that one in come PSU launch day!

I'm quite enjoying it too, the handling feels a little more realistic, certainly more so than on Most Wanted where it felt like you were controlling a plank of wood on coaster wheels (those little wheels you get on the bottom of furniture), the cars also sound great, I'm currently in the Camarro and you get a real feel for the power of that engine from just the sound of it!

Although, the way I have the Camarro set up, its absolute pants for Drift courses, so I'm saving up for the Alfa Romeo as that looks like it may suit my driving style for drifting.

One of my favourite things about Forza Motorsport was the customisation options, and this takes it to the next level. The vinyl/decal editor isn't as good as that in Forza but that way in which you can alter the body kits and stuff is really really cool. I also like the way in which you choose from various options when buying performance parts that change and affect various parts of your cars performance and it tells you in simple terms just what you are doing, none of the over difficult stuff that you'd expect to see in more serious games like Gran Turismo.

I've got a number of reviews to do this week, but I'm going to catch up 100% before the end of the week and this should be available next Monday.
