Well considering some games (like the Gold Zelda, for example) are worth hundreds to the right buyer, it's understandable. The added factor of having everything all in one shot is attractive to, I guess.
When I first started collecting Pokemon cards I did it in groups. I knew I was getting cards I didn't need also (who needs 15 Weedles?) but getting a whole collection far outweighs the extras. Not that I'd pay that much for NES games but that's a collector's decision. I'm sure if someone grouped together every Final Fantasy game it'd sell for bags of cash. I, myself, wouldn't pay more than $20 total however.
Added at 3:40pm- Now it's up to $225thou.
That's ridiculous. |

Actually, now it's down to 20.6K
If you take off say $100 for the system and then another $100 for all of the accessories... you're now looking at about $30 per game.
More reasonable. |
