Wow I'm kinda suprised I'm the first one to post anything on this, but it looks more like an Action RPG rather than the traditional style that FF games are known for

Looks good. The CGs always do, of course. Gameplay did look much more like playing Kingdom Hearts than Final Fantasy. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it might cut down on the use of magic significantly (About the only spells I would cast in KH were the ones I could reach from a shortcut. KHII was better, but even then, mostly Drive and shortcut spells) Which would be sad, because the summons in a Final Fantasy are traditionally gorgeous. |

I wonder if the games will look that good in terms of the FFXIII trailer (not the FFvsXIII trailer). But that is more of a statement of the quality that I am noticing with the PS3 right now. I know the potential to get there is good...I mean just look at Gears graphics compared to 360 launch graphics.
But what makes me curious is that they have about 3 FFXIII games in the works. They are overkilled FFX with the creation of FFX-2 and they are already doing it with FFVII with that movie and really bad 3rd person shooter.
With the quality of FFXII, I am confident that FFXIII will be good since it is pretty much using the same battle system, but with the Versus game and the other mobile games in the work, they might be overdoing it. |

Yeah after seeing the FFVII shooter, I'm really hoping they redeem the VII series with Crisis Core which is due out next year for PSP. Hopefully that will be good!
Sorry... off topic. The game looks brilliant... but it's all FMV. I want to see real time stuff. |

Nope. I liked Dirge of Cerberus too. Then again... it is sexy Vincent. I cant help but like a game i do nothing but stare at him for hours!!
