Well now that I have your attention...yes, this is Game Of The Year for 2003. If you are even the least bit into strategy (read: using your mind over your twitch control) then you must try this game. Never mind whether you know, don't know, like, or hate the series (or previous games) this one's a keeper. It's the wonderful offspring of a card game and a hex map strategy game. Pure gaming goodness smothered in gooey nougat and wrapped in a chocolate shell!!!

Now for anyone that may have read the review in OPM do NOT listen to that dweeb. He clearly has no grasp of card or strategy games and seems like he doesn't like the series anyway. I'll admit I'm a Yugioh fan but far from the biggest one. This game however, won me over big time. I'm currently renting it for the second time and when I take it back I'm going to buy it.

If you like the series at all (anime, card, or vidgame) then you MUST get this game. If you like strategy games of any kind then you must get this game. If you are currently breathing then you must get this game. It will take two to three battles to get the hang of it (you will get your ass whipped the first game, trust me) but once you understand the mechanics you'll be sucked in (like any good game). My record currently stands at 28-2 (I AM a strategy game guy, after all) with losses only to Weevil (Bug bastard!!!) and Bones (don't laugh, you'll lose to him the first time too. Check the "spoiler" to find out why). I just finished whipping Pegasus (with his Toon deck. HA!) and had to take a break for the night.

Try this game, you'll thank me for sure.
