This game looks amazing.
I've discovered the The 1up Show (which is awesome by the way), and the most recent episode of the 1up show has some really great discussion about this game. Along with gameplay.
This is good stuff right here.
Everyone is so excited over Gears of War, it looks like this game is being over looked... and it shouldn't!
Check out the 1up show. They start talking about the game about 18 minutes in, so take a look. I'm excited!
Also on the show is Warioware for Wii and Metal Gear: PO!

I haven't messed with Live that much yet...
Are the demos free downloads with Silver?
I haven't gotten Gold yet b/c I have no reason to right now. |

I dont think you can go so far as to say its being ignored over Gears of War, this has been one of the big draws for the 360 since before its launch.
It's also one of the titles Microsoft are hoping will get them noticed in Japan with as its by Capcom. |

The E3 2006 demo is free to try and download with Silver. The multiplayer demo, however, requires Gold.
I have to say Capcom showed 360 some great support with this game and Dead Rising. Almost makes up for the fact that I might be missing out on DMC4.
As if it is comparable to Gears, I would probably say that the game has a more traditional shooter feel to it than Gears does (as you are not forced to take cover or enter an aim mode), but the left and right bumpers to do a quick 90 degree aim turn is a very nice touch.

Along with Culdcept Saga and Blue Dragon seeming to actually getting the Japanese gamers attentions. 70k copies may not sound like a lot normally, but considering it is the 360 in Japan...that is very good. |

So I pop in the game, pull up single player, and put it on easy. I'm not 5 minutes into the training level when I find something big and ugly running right at me, and it eventually bellyflops landing right on top of me and killing me instantly.
Go ahead, start laughing. I just died on the training level of easy mode. |

BK, I was with you on this one.
Actually, I think I did it twice.
Anyway... now I'm on like mission 7 or something. This game is awesome.
Some of you may scold me for this, but I am more impressed with this game than Gears. Why? Gears is all enclosed spaces... Lost Planet you can see REALLY far into the distance and no popin!

Yes, the graphics are amazing. And I love how multiplayer stuff (extra skins and colours) are unlocked only be getting better at multiplayer... except that I still haven't played it on live.
Ended up dying about 6 times before finally figuring out how to beat the training level.
